Owning and maintaining a large, historic home can be as expensive as the home is expansive. One way to help pay the bills is to liquidate some of its antiques. In "Antiques to the Rescue," fine arts auctioneer John Foster comes to the rescue for families who need to raise money for urgent repairs and restorations on their historically important abodes. Using his 20 years of experience, Foster discovers valuable heirlooms that the families can sell. In doing so, he also reveals secrets and legacies that these places hold.
