02/17/2020 It has a good premise: 'Three foul-mouthed yakuza pretend to be idols.' And when it's exploring this premise, it delivers with both comedy and heartfelt emotion. But then it feels the need to constantly abuse the main characters physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's played for laughs, but is never actually funny. These men have lost their rights, their freedom, their own bodies, and any reason to trust the man who now controls their life. Any attempt to regain any freedom results in being punished to the extreme. It really does feel exactly like some especially twisted forced-transgender erotica. But then you're just expected to laugh at this nightmare. Even if these themes don't repulse you, there isn't any real effort put into making them actually funny. So expect to feel either uncomfortable, or bored. See more Read all reviews
