Rising culinary stars live together in a breathtaking Italian villa and compete against each other as individuals and in teams to prove their mastery of Italian cooking techniques and dishes. Described as "Big Brother" meets "Under the Tuscan Sun," the participants must also navigate alliances and rivalries as they pick their own teams. Each week, the losing team must vote off one of their own. In the end, only the last chef standing wins the life-changing grand prize: an immersive culinary education across Italy, training with renowned Italian master chefs.

Instead of leaning in to the joy and experience of living together in Tuscany, and experiencing its food and locations, Ciao House took that away from the chefs, and stuck them into this wreck of a show. Go to Full Review

Allyssa D @RT92569832 Jul 26 Absolutely unbelievable that COREY, the best, most consistent chef got voted off. Stopped watching after that. It’s a popularity contest that doesn’t actually respect the talent of the chefs, it’s luck and drama. See more Robin T @RT59652630 07/02/2024 Alex really shines as host and mentor to these chefs. She and her co-host have great chemistry. What an incredible opportunity for the winner. In this series the hosts have a way of delivering direct clear feedback and you are left with the feeling that they really care. I cannot wait for season 3! The chefs are all so talented and their stories meaningful. I hope the producers do not go down a reality series path that cheapens the show with too much drama. There seems to be the right balance concluding season 2. See more Bobby H @RT12968902 06/22/2024 Alex Guarnaschelli shines on this show. I wish there were more opportunities for social strategy, but Alex shines as a host, and I loved the cast. See more Jody F @RT32593871 06/01/2024 Horrible show. And the season 1 winner is freaking inexplicable. They systematically eliminated the actual chefs and rewarded mediocrity and just plain nastiness. An insult to the beauty of Tuscan cuisine. Mad I wasted hours of my life on this. See more M G @RT79525928 08/15/2023 Horrible, horrible show. From having "judges" choose the capos each round, the losing team openly voting someone off, the second team to cook having far too much time to plan (plus hearing the judge's critiques)… so incredibly unbalanced. There was clearly no true vision for this production or why it was even set in Italy. Half the time, chefs aren't even delivering Italian food in the challenges. Overall, this is a show about skating by if you're on the winning team, or voting off the "capo" if you're on the losing team; it's entirely about weak strategy vs. putting up a good plate of food. See more Philip R @PhilipRoss 07/23/2023 What a great idea, beautiful location and foody country. However, I have never watched a show that was so poorly executed. It was supposed to be a show based on talent, but the best chefs were voted off, still scratching me head. What was Food Network thinking? Alex admits in the last episode that Corey is the best chef and consistently the best through the entire show. So how does the best chef not make the last 2? Gabe said he wanted to eat a full portion of Corey's dish, but he doesn't make the last 2? It is cringe worthy when even the other contestants feel bad for still being on the show when they see the best voted off. Giada is gone from the network, in a big misstep, they let Valerie go and now this talent show that is not awarded on talent? It makes you wonder who is in charge and wonder what is going on at Food Network. This was a recipe for disaster. See more Read all reviews
