A group of high-school teens are the products of government employees' secret experiment. They are the genetic clones of famous historical figures who have been dug up, re-created anew. Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, JFK, Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln and more are juxtaposed as teenagers dealing with teen issues in the 20th century.

Anita Gates New York Times 03/12/2019
The dialogue isn't always exactly funny, but it's smile worthy and sometimes, like Larry David's mostly ad-libbed ''Curb Your Enthusiasm,'' just enjoyably nervy. Go to Full Review
Scott Sandell Los Angeles Times 03/12/2019
Sounds funny, and it is. In a style reminiscent of "South Park" and "Beavis and Butt-head," but not nearly as crude, "Clone High" mixes pop culture and historical references with some crassness. Go to Full Review

At the same time that Clone High is a hyperbolic parody of teen shows, it can also be one of the most secretly accurate teen shows out there. Go to Full Review

It's the nuance that makes Clone High work. Go to Full Review

Yes, "Clone High" has the MTV-requisite sexual innuendo, but it's more clever than much of what passes for humor in prime time today. And like "Scrubs," it has heart, particularly when it comes to Abe and Joan. Go to Full Review

The one season we got is a genuinely clever and thoughtful forerunner to the rest of the Lord and Miller canon to date. Go to Full Review

Stephen C @bob25009 Feb 8 13 funny MTV episodes. See more Kevin P @RT55971421 01/24/2025 A hilarious cult classic that was way ahead of its time and sadly fell under the radar until it fell into the loving grace of the internet. It’s easy to see how this show had a second wave of popularity online, since every line of dialogue is practically a meme at this point. The show is so expertly structured with so many jokes with perfect comedic timing that just continue to build on top of each other and often subvert themselves with misdirection. The satire on early 2000's teen dramas and PSA’s is so hilariously blunt, skewering all the irritating high school tropes and archetypes that were everywhere at the time. The characters are hilarious and so memorable, with hilarious juxtapositions of their historical counterparts. The voice cast is so charismatic, and the character design art style is a visual delight. Every character is funny in their own right, but they never feel like they’re fighting for screen time since they all fulfill their niche parody role and complement each other beautifully. The dialogue is so sharp that it’s easily one of the most quotable shows I’ve ever seen. It may’ve been canceled too soon, but it was truly lightning in a bottle. See more Zuri U @RT37112668 08/08/2024 Clone High was a pretty great series, but S2 felt Nothing like the old series! See more JM N @Cin_E_File 11/06/2023 I love how the animation is inspired by the UPA style. The story and the characters are amazing and funny. It's sad it got cancelled after only 1 episode, but I'm glad that it got revived. See more Adam Z @RT91049510 06/11/2023 20 years later, and this is still one of the best adult animation shows ever made. To quote Ghandi's last kidney: "I miss him." See more Evan B @RT82394293 06/08/2023 This show is absolutely hilarious and isn't as dated I thought it would be. The humor still lands and it's a shame it got canceled. See more Read all reviews
