09/13/2021 I just finished binging the series. All 97 episodes. It feels like a loose end from my childhood has finally been tied. I almost kind of regret it. Before two weeks ago when I started binging, Code Lyoko was a show so distant in my memory that I could only remember it being really good. So I revered it. Now that I have the entire series in recent memory those nostalgic feelings are gone now and it's just another above-average show to me. Basically it's not special to me anymore. Maybe in the future I should avoid revisiting any old shows I remember being really good so I don't spoil that nostalgia again. Don't misunderstand me, I very much enjoyed watching it. I wouldn't watch 97 episodes of something I didn't like. It's just the removal of nostalgia that's making it hurt.
