In Coma, Simon, a devoted family man, finds himself at a breaking point as his neighbourhood falls victim to the terrorising antics of a group of teenagers, led by the menacing 17-year-old Jordan and his questionable companions. Simon and his wife, Beth are desperate to move their young daughter to a safer area away from the threatening atmosphere. When Simon's frustration reaches its peak and he confronts Jordan outside his own home, a split-second decision changes everything.

Watkins conveyed the boring but amiable Simon’s impotent terror so well it was painful to watch. In fact there was not one weak performance here... Go to Full Review

If you can watch even the first episode of this all in one sitting, you have my great respect. I had to keep breaking off to breathe into a paper bag. Go to Full Review

Hey, four hours of drama have to be filled somehow, but this was pushing it. Even Watkins was becoming a trial by the end. Go to Full Review

C B @RT03025588 04/17/2024 The way their characters are written, Jason Watkins and Jonas Armstrong play their parts to perfection. But, the way they are written, their roles as the nebbish main character and the gangster are also kind of stereotypical and predictable. There are different directions the story could have taken and - maybe because it clocks in at a brisk four forty-five minute episodes- it chooses the most straightforward, realistic path. If this were an American series, it would have been longer, with more violent twists and turns and with a little humor. It is what it is, and it's brevity allowed me to watch it in one evening.
