It is still generous with the blood-letting, the headshots, the bone breaks and the brutality. That makes it distinct in the generally sanitised MCU as an adult drama that not looking to play nice. Go to Full Review

This reluctance to fully own the brutal realities that these shows are taking pains to depict is untenable. Go to Full Review

The first season of Jessica Jones, from 2015, remains essential viewing, more influenced by feminism and film noir than comic books. She’s a welcome new lens for Daredevil. Go to Full Review

As was the case with the DC-based “Penguin” of a couple of years back, the latest incarnation of Marvel’s Daredevil character is noteworthy for its high degree of psychological sophistication. Go to Full Review

It’s not a full-blown self-contained success, but it effectively gets things on track for a fresh start with some surprising public revelations. It’s less trial drama and a lot more bloody action and profanity. Go to Full Review

Jacob B @JB3.0 10h Now that the pre-creative overhaul mess of S1 has been cleaned up, Daredevil is truly Born Again in this revival's sophomore season. While having more action and heavier emphasis on Netflix-era continuity help tremendously, it's the storytelling that makes this truly worthwhile television. Leave it to a show like this that has me gaining some sociopathic glee that the Big Bad finally suffered a major loss but still feeling bad for him considering the redeeming qualities associated with that loss. It honestly feels like Andor at times. Think Bullseye will get his own special? I liked what they did with him here. All building up to a conclusion that wraps this arc in a bittersweet yet definitive manner that brings the concept of breaking the cycle to mind while paving the way for new stories for a third season. Hopefully, the rest of the MCU Defenders will get proper revivals soon as well. P.S.: I really liked the Max Headroom bits. Shame they're phased out halfway through. See more MBI M @MNZGamerX 21h Daredevil season 2 starts off well but Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin appears to steal the series right from episode 1 and Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne (The Swordsman) also lifts the show as he seems to add a certain charisma to any character he plays. Daredevil and Kingpin in season 2 go to war and there is a heightened level of brutality and violence exceeding anything seen in season 1. See more Luis G @RT14752488 1d Very brutal season, the drama and action ramped way up, even though I feel like shortening the seasons into 9 or 8 episodes since the disney+ change instead of netflix may have made things be a more tighter than they should if they had the proper 13 episodes buildups, I hope newer seasons are longer and more action/drama focused, the changes in some characters like Dr. Glenn going into insanity and turning into the same thing that she feared and Karen leaning more into her Punisher-like side was a welcome surprise! See more WTEntertainment T @Fugo1503_hobby 5d Too much cringe. Kingpin is like a super soldier. Bullseye is not human (how?) See more Max W @MaxthorWoo 5d The second season of Daredevil: Born Again successfully upgrades the gritty style and street-level texture of the previous season. However, its script noticeably leans more toward dialogue-driven scenes, resulting in a reduction of the iconic, memorable action sequences that fans have come to expect. This imbalance between the cerebral and the visceral adjustment means that the season fails to fully replicate the essence most praised in the original series—the brilliant interplay between compelling narrative and intense action.
