David and Annie's life gets flipped upside down as they attempt to bring Annie's 14-year-old brother Jordan and 16-year-old cousin Amber to America. With the hope that it will open up more opportunities for the children's futures, David & Annie travel back to Annie's village in Thailand to pick up the teenagers. There, they are faced with obstacle after unexpected obstacle, and the road to guardianship may be harder than either of them ever expected, especially when Jordan goes missing. It appears that Jordan may not be a fan of leaving his idyllic village life behind and flying to the United States.
