The good news, however, is that even if it's a little lackluster in execution, "The Ghost Monument" is off by a matter of degrees rather than in a way that indicates the show is fundamentally missing the mark. This very much feels like a proper episode.

Whittaker's second episode shows the Doctor up to her usual tricks, fending off alien attacks while rescuing humans, and reunites us all with the TARDIS, ready for more fun-packed adventures travelling back to Earth in the episodes to come.
