Set 1,300 years after the events of "How to Train Your Dragon," dragons are now just a legend to the modern world. When a geological anomaly opens an immense, miles-deep fissure in the Earth's surface, scientists from all over the world gather at a new research facility to study the mysterious phenomenon. However, it diverges significantly, lacking the original characters and instead introducing a new setting filled with dragons. Unfortunately, it seems like an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the films, but it ultimately fell short. The plotlines felt disjointed, and the character development was minimal, leading to a lackluster experience over its eight seasons. Rather than feeling like an authentic DreamWorks production, it came across as a rushed project aimed solely at generating profit from the established series, which was a disappointing misstep. It's evident that there was an overwhelming push for production without a focus on quality. The storytelling felt hurried and crammed, making it a lackluster series overall. While I did manage to watch it through to the end, I wouldn't consider revisiting it. The content seems better suited for very young children, and I found it to be quite tedious.
