Veronica R @RT39455346 12/08/2024 The most obnoxious host, ever!! Doesn’t speak Spanish or identifies as Mexican, yet wants to show you all about the heritage in her words, aka “wow”. Stupid beyond belief and totally opposite of Stanley Tucci’s version of Italy. He speaks the language and identifies as one. All this broad knows to do is dress nice and fix her hair. Eva is the ideal host for this series, and thanks to this show we are already planning a trip to Mexico. In many ways it's as good and satisfying a series as Searching for Italy, which we love and have watched three times in its entirety. We are so hoping for another season of Searching for Mexico. There is much left to see. See more Serge W @RT50465681 06/03/2023 What a wasted opportunity. She doesn't know or even really understand food - not just Mexican food, but ANY food. Her Spanish? I mean she lives there 1/2 time for 7 years and it's clear she's not even trying to learn even the pronunciation much less any kind of rich vocabulary. The show gets *nothing* from her participation and she's the star. If they wanted a vehicle for her they should have found something where she would be even basically competent. Meanwhile, the chance to really explore Mexico and it's food is pretty much lost with this show. See more Maureen M @RT14375529 04/10/2023 I love this show! Eva is a great host, one foot in the US and one foot in Mexico where her parents are from, speaking some Spanish when appropriate and English when she is really talking to us. Her appreciation of the history and other cultures is interesting and educational - asking questions so we get the history but I don't feel like I am in school. Perfect.
