Using interviews and reenactments to examine murder cases from the victim's point of view, the first season of this documentary/crime-drama series opens with a look at the 2008 slayings of an East Texas mother and her two sons. Other cases explored in this season include a free-spirited young woman killed by her lover in New Orleans; and an Ohio mother who solved the murder of her son.
