Critic Reviews for The Flash Season 3

The real changes here are more emotional than grandiose.
It's so frustrating to watch Iris's potential get squandered through juvenile scenes that focus on her as Barry Allen's leading lady rather than a woman in her own right.
A good season overall, with some strong story arcs and a good ending to them, though it does struggle with a shift in tone and a rather flat end scene.
Once again, the series found gold in exploring how familiar characters have been reshaped by their new reality. And Barry's emotional journey continues to anchor the show.
Despite its flaws, the show is still a largely faithful and puts its comic book sensibilities front and center, and the cast are always wonderful.
Wow - what a way to close out Season 3! Tonight "The Flash" delivered an emotional, intense, and unexpected season finale.
Like Arrow, there's a wide berth to do things differently next season, and considering how dark Flash Season 3 managed to skew, that overhaul is sorely needed. Remember when Season 1 had a fun wedding, daytime and all?
It's a risk having your superhero portrayed as an imperfect vessel who commits villain-like acts, but such is the maturity and complexity of The Flash.
The Flash: The Complete Third Season is a return to greatness for one of the very best superhero shows on TV.
Overall, we're off to a promising start to The Flash Season 3, even if the concept of flashpoint itself was a bit of a letdown. It was a good launching pad.
Watching the yellow blur saving the city is fresh, having not being given much of a chance to shine in the last season, it's brilliant to finally see Lonsdale get something to play with.
While in the comics, Barry's actions rewrote the whole world with some bizarre and disastrous consequences, here, things are far more subtle, and the focus stays on the people who bring us back week after week.

Feb 15, 2021This season had me on the edge of my seat nearly every single episode. The exciting visuals and the terrifying and mysterious villain had me questioning each decision being made and always had me guessing. In my opinion this was the best season the flash had to offer as its plot twists and turns were much too shocking and amazingly written to ever forget. The relationships made throughout the show and the empathy developed for its characters made it hard to not fall in love with the entire process. I would highly recommend!

Jan 04, 2021The Flash Season 3 is what started the downfall of the Flash. This season introduces us to savitar, a god speedster who's only goal is to kill Iris West so Barry Allen can go so crazy, it allows him to be born. Starting with the pro's, I think H.R Wells while not being better than any of the other wells we've had is still good and entertaining and his death scene is honestly kind of sad. Savitar is overall a good villain while not being written correctly. Flashpoint was a good idea and was a good way to start the season by messing everything up. The CGI is very impressive seeing how its a TV show and every character is written off very well. The cons: This show introduces us to Julian Albert. While his character is written well he was an uptight bitch in the first couple episodes. The season focuses too much on the love portion and not the saving the city portion. Lastly a good amount of the episodes are filler which is something I hate because it shows that the producers are running out of ideas. Overall this is a meh season and I hope that season 4 is better than this

Dec 30, 2020Story for this season got lame and boring and lost all of its fun
-
Dec 10, 2020I think its very important
-
Oct 31, 2020Flashpoint was wasted and another speedster. They gear up for something big and game changing at the end and bait and switch it for a safe option
-
Aug 09, 2020Great season like just lots of action
-
Aug 09, 2020So far, least favorite season of Flash. Main villain seemed great at first, but the plotting and plot twist was a bit weak. Some episodes were atrocious, namely, "The Duet". The suspense was great but then falter. Honestly, the villain was weak this season.
-
Aug 09, 2020"Season 3" is better and more original than the second season, which I thought wore itself out with repetition. It poses interesting dilemmas with inventive solutions on behalf of Team Flash (Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, ect.).
-
Aug 01, 2020Another speedster (and the stupid twist) makes this a bit weaker of a season but it still has enough strong performances and twists to satisfy.
