The CW marshals its lovable roster of superheroes all together to quell an Invasion! in a sprawling crossover event that makes great use of each series headliners' charms.
Amazing episode. It was honestly on low-key big-budget Marvel team-up movie levels.
The slower pace was a little frustrating at times, but ultimately it seemed for the best... It also enabled the episode to juggle the massive cast pretty elegantly.
The Arrowverse has had crossovers in the past, but 'Invasion' is the first to feel like a true team-up.
The real appeal of this project is getting all these folks on the screen together, and the shared creative team looks to be taking full advantage.
Based on tonight's episode alone, this year's crossover is looking like it'll be the best one yet.
The episode also strikes a rare and engaging balance of comedy and drama. It's a really fun episode, with lots of great, jokey lines and entertaining exchanges, but it's also one that furthers the big emotional arc.
The action is zippy and the classic comic-book trope of the team turning evil under alien mind control and battling Barry and Oliver is colorful.
It has great, cohesive action, emotional character beats and White Canary calling Supergirl hot, meaning that I got just about everything that I could personally hope for from a given episode.
Does Iris have a job or is being Barry's girlfriend a full-time gig?
This is the stuff fanboys' dreams are made of and Invasion delivered in the best manner possible.
