Was pizza really invented in Italy? Does chicken soup actually help cure the common cold? Those are some of the food myths that are explored on this series that tries to separate fact from fiction. Actor Michael McKean examines commonly held beliefs about food -- including popular food remedies and romantic recipes and aphrodisiacs -- to see which ones have some validity and which can be completely debunked. Themed episodes include one that takes a look at breakfast -- is it really the most important meal of the day? -- and another that travels around the food globe to see where popular international dishes were really created.
