Josh A @RT94970263 Apr 8 This is like Season 1, but bigger and crazier, essentially. Freddy takes more of a backseat role, and the stories go crazier and bigger, as I said before. You just never knew what would happen. All the stories in the season start normal. As in, a failing journalist deals with an annoying boss, a guy is in prison or something else. And you think: where is this gonna go from here? Then Freddy appears and makes a joke, and then slowly but surely, it descends into absolute insanity. Take, for instance, the journalist story. To the best of my memory, he finds a weird death note esque thing but makes a grammar mistake, leading to his death as Freddy says you 'need to do your English homework, kids!". And that's tame for this show. It's as if they pass cocaine around the writer's room every time they write an episode. It's crazy. Overall, it's just batshit insane. That's the best way to describe it. See more LFAF T @LFAFSTYLE 03/03/2023 Freddy’s Nightmares is an anthological series where each episode follows two different yet connected storylines, In this season, some episodes are direct sequels to previous episodes which happens more frequently in this season. Season 2 is like Season 1 but more structured though even less creative. By this season, the format of the show became extremely predictable although I do find that each of the episodes did a better job at blending their storylines together than the previous season. The continuity errors are still present which was very bothersome to me. Overall, I found this season to be slightly better than the first season but it still has the feeling of being uninspired and doesn’t really feel like it fits into the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Huge shoutout to Robert Englund for once again portraying Freddy Krueger as he is easily the best part of the tv series. See more Read all reviews
