This season has frustrated me with its tonal inconsistencies and occasionally clunky writing, but I still love the cast and the concept, and I still very much enjoy hanging out with these characters.

All in all, a solid opening episode. But even if it wasn't, it's a brand-new season, which means we are - until further notice - on a moratorium from complaining about this show.

The juxtaposition of those two images-the successful conception of a new life, and the destruction of an old building-is apt for a finale that embraces a lot of the oddness of this season and tries to find productive ways to build on the paradoxes.

There were both good story arcs and individual episodes this season, and on the whole I do think it was a notable improvement from season 5.

"Big Days" felt like a fantastic step forward, while effortlessly reminding us of all the great things How I Met Your Mother has to offer.

It was a bit 'other' than any other season, because nearly no comedy factor. A season full of drama through out the whole season. Mostly a joke came like this: Someone has a problem, the gang solves it, and then someone makes a joke that is so out of context and no sense, that it isn't funny. But the drama in the season was just great. Every story began at the premiere episode and ended at the final episode. Which was a nice anecdote. My personal favorite was the story with Barney and his dad, because I'm growing up without dad also, I nearly cried when Barney 'stole' the basketball basket. The whole season was like one big highlight, that was so realistic, because the actors are all working really great together. But 'just' 9/10, 'cause the missed their origin

It's a shame when the best episodes of a show's season are both its first and last episode. HIMYM Season 6 practically opened 'guns blazing', only to simmer down and dwell on somewhat melodrama. It wasn't until the end where it delivered great reveals...and along the way still had a few laughable, good time episodes here and there.

IN episode 10 which is Blitezgiving, Ted left his friends to prepare for the Thanksgiving Day. Then, Blitz's curse moved from Steve who?s knowing as "Blitz" to Ted. Blitz's curse comes to a person when he or she leaves his or her friends to do something. It started from a person called Matt Blitz, then moved to different people through different generations. A Blitz person always says "awwww maaaaan" when his or her friends tell him or her about the great things they have done. Usually, great things happen when the person who knowing as "Blitz" leaves the place. Ted became Blitz in his group but not for a long time because Barney left his friends next day when they were looking for a place to spend the thanksgiving in. At the end, Steve became Blitz again.

This season is incredibly funny, and has the incredible Ted and Zoey relationship.

Season six is a dramatic improvement from seasons four and five. It follows Ted and Zoey's roller-coaster of a relationship while Ted designs a new building, Marshall's dad dies and he starts a new job, and Barney meets his dad and chases after Nora. More happens in this season than the previous two combined. Season six (aside from the first two seasons) is probably my favorite. In addition to everything that happens, there is more emotional content jammed into this season than any other, and it's absolutely loaded with some of the best episodes HIMYM has to offer (Big Days, Last Words, Bad News, Landmarks, Glitter, Hopeless, Challenge Accepted, Legendaddy). There are a few below average episodes mixed in, but for the most part, this season is incredible. Though I hate Zoey's character with a burning passion, somehow she just happens to be right in the middle of some of the best episodes of the show. Regardless, season six of HIMYM is incredible. Watch it. Oh, and in the season premiere Big Days, we get our first glimpse of Barney's wedding day, a day we knew was important, but probably didn't realize just how important it was until three years later.
