When Jazz Jennings was 2 years old, she asked her mother when a fairy was going to change her from a boy to a girl. Now years removed from the beginning of her transition, Jazz is a transgender young woman with a unique perspective and some unexpected daily experiences. Those are shared in this companion series to "I Am Jazz," a complex and fascinating focus on Jazz as she faces decisions regarding her health, spends time with family and friends, enters the dating world, and continues her education. In addition to the drama and angst that comes with being a teenager, Jazz faces an increasingly hostile world of discrimination, hate speech, online bullying and an array of misconceptions associated with what it means to be transgender.
