Charlene S @whitjake 10/19/2024 This was a very informative documentary but I find the explanations of her mental illness for killing two people are no excuse. When do we see a male serial killer documentary explaining his childhood for the excuse of killing? Just because she's a female, it seems more reasonable?? Obvious there's always a mental illness of some sort when a person kills someone. See more V S @RT05963703 10/19/2024 Interesting story. The filmmakers have no understanding of mental illness nor do, more understandably the interviewees. It’s filmmaker’s job to highlight different important aspects of a story, not judge a deeply sick woman. They go into it a little bit but the interviewees (public and law enforcement) are amazingly ignorant to the phenomenon of the transference of free will. When you are of sound of mind nothing “makes sense” in a story like this. So obviously it’s not going to “make sense” to them unless they have studied mental illness. It’s a shame they didn’t include a psychiatrist, she and her family were wrought with mental illness, a huge part of the story and a major disservice not including a psychiatrist. The only mental health professional involved was a gambling addiction specialist. The journalists are well spoken but their words overshadow what should have been the voice of a mental health professional speaking to the incidents. It was eye opening to see the lack of psychiatric training the enforcement has. When people who don’t understand that are apprehending a criminal and assume “she’s long gone by now”…. they could have saved a life if they understood her mental health issues. Someone who doesn’t want to get caught doesn’t go to public bars and make friends with everyone. She was mentally sick and seeking socialization and friends.
