Lauren Caspian is NPR’s third most popular host. He’s a well-meaning, hypocritical nimrod, just like you and me. He’s also a stop motion puppet. Each episode follows the making of an episode of Lauren’s show In the Know, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real world human guests. Lauren collaborates with a diverse crew of NPR staff. They are also puppets and nimrods.

The stop-motion comedy from Zach Woods, Brandon Gardner and Mike Judge lacks the zingy acuity of its creators’ best work. Go to Full Review

It’s a good-natured roast that delivers many appreciative cackles. Go to Full Review
John Anderson Wall Street Journal 01/25/2024
There ought to be a second season of In the Know, even if the jokes are a bit inside-baseball and the self-worship of Lauren requires tolerance even at his most pathetically funny. Go to Full Review
Tara Ariano Cracked 08/28/2024
I feel like the audience that would laugh at these characters' antics doesn’t exist. Go to Full Review
Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media 02/08/2024
There's a lot of subtleties here, and those unfamiliar with NPR may not immediately appreciate it, but In the Know is an entertaining option for those looking for a smart, thoughtful comedy that manages to lampoon with good intentions. Go to Full Review

In The Know is a quirky, funny series that works on a few different levels, and it effectively combines animation and live action. Go to Full Review

Tom F @RT55173143 05/13/2024 As delightful a spoof of NPR as one could hope for. See more Justin L @JBeam 02/05/2024 Mike Judge does it again. See more Malcolm L @RT50607653 02/02/2024 Some of the greatest stop frame animation I've ever seen. Those animators deserve a huge pay raise. See more Rex W @Jojooocrypto 01/29/2024 Very very few shows make me actually laugh out loud. See more Rick F @RT96289163 01/28/2024 I don't think I've listened to much public radio but I've met each of these characters in real life. Every episode was hilarious and it doesn't feel like any TV comedy I've ever watched. See more Honest D @RT10468612 01/25/2024 This is pure irreverent genius! I love Public Radio, that i is why I love to see it satirized. I only hope that the rest of the people watching this can actually appreciate the ridiculousness of everything and not get offended. Never thought id see Zach Woods in claymation, he does All Things Considered perfectly. His charactors batsh/t deadpan seriousness is brilliant. He is great in everything he does. The other characters are great too, I would say more about them but I don't know their names yet or who play them, but everyone is very good. It's like Moral Oral mixed with the Office but NPR instead of Dunder and Mifland Paper Co. Episode 5 is a masterpiece!!! See more Read all reviews
