Tulip Owens is a 13-year-old girl who aspires to become a computer game programmer but finds herself trapped on a train one day and is looking for a way out. She meets a robot called One-One, which consists of two spherical robots containing contrasting personalities that can combine into the shape of a basketball. Together they search the train, meeting a cast of strange characters along the way and hoping to find clues that will help Tulip find her way home.

Season 4 is... nifty! It's a solid season of television, disappointing only in the context of the expansive terror that immediately preceded it. Go to Full Review

It's a bittersweet ending but deeply funny, with an imaginative set of new train denizens. Go to Full Review

Compared to the imagination of previous seasons to the point of high-octane nightmares, Book Four is more subdued. This season was not intended to be a finale season and feels more at place if it was in the middle. Go to Full Review

Book Four's execution is, as one might expect based on previous seasons of Infinity Train, still pretty top notch. Murashige and Young do a great job of communicating just how frustrated their characters are without ever making them too unlikeable. Go to Full Review

It's a shame that this will be a farewell as Book Four is where the creative team behind it seems to have really hit their stride while also being able to take big swings. Not all of them land, but when they do, well, there's nothing quite like it. Go to Full Review

The result is the show's most emotional season, and also its most heartwarming. Duet speaks to the ethos at the core of Infinity Train: that we all have a chance to do better and get better. Go to Full Review

Ed @ethan925 07/10/2023 The idea of a train with various obstacles that encourage character growth seems like a good idea, but to me it just felt a little bland. That isn't to say it's not good, but it just could have been better. It seems like a lot more time was spent arguing then actually talking things through and making up. Also, I'm not quite sure if I understand the lessons they're supposed to have learned. Post Harbor does a better job of something like this. See more TimeFlies A 01/28/2023 More Amelia and how she took over the train. The new characters are nice and I love how relatable their friendship is. I love how the writers don't just make him bffs after one talk – as it is so often portrayed in movies and shows these days –, but it takes more than one talk and fight for the two guys to finally work it out. Still very sad they cancelled this show. Definitely deserved better treatment, I hope we get at least one more season in the future because I know that Owen said he planned more. See more 05/15/2022 Another great season, possibly the last, of an overall pretty amazing show that detailed creativity, great writing and amazing set-pieces. Worth a watch no matter your age. See more 03/07/2022 The fact that something this fantastic ended prematurely is an absolute injustice. A 100% Critic Score on every season, and some corporate moron decides to shut this down? Surely, someone was fired for making such an insane decision. Infinity Train's clever way of developing a character through the sentient train is genius. Even when the train fucks up, it's so the protagonist can learn their lesson. But the prospect of exposing the dark underbelly of a train that forces you to learn something against your will is also exposed, showing the most stubborn of people finding another way off the train... What an absolute gem of television. You'd have to be dumb to dislike this show. See more spencer p @s_plewe 03/03/2022 Book 4 scales back the darkness of earlier entries to seemingly bring back its child audience, but the knowledge that this may be the final season only makes that feel like a let down. That said, Infinity Train shakes things up even further with a "prequel spin-off" vibe that comes with interesting older characters whose problems feel a bit more contrived this time around. See more 02/06/2022 The season is a mirror of the last. Ryan and Min-Gi start from a fracture in their friendship but by struggling on the train, eventually open up and are honest with eachother. Of all four seasons, this one feels the most light. The stakes are not always so death-defying, and Ryan and Min make a fun duo as they bitterly work out their relationship issues. The ending felt a bit rushed and weak, however. It definitely could have benefited from some better pacing and a more extensive epilogue post-train. See more Read all reviews
