Depraved underachieving might look easy, but for the egocentric Mac, Charlie, Dennis, Frank and Dee, it's an art form; "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" follows "The Gang," the owners of the unsuccessful Paddy's Pub; a group of degenerates who loves nothing more than to scheme, conspire, and mostly revel in each other's misery; whether gaming the welfare system, exploiting dumpster babies, pretending to be crippled, impersonating officers or faking funerals, The Gang never stoops too low in the name of making a buck.

Even for sitcoms, "Sunny" is often a vile, twisted beast that crosses the line of acceptable taste. But it can also be highly amusing, and the addition of DeVito and Archer does nothing to diminish that. Go to Full Review

Kinda like Seinfeld. Except funny. Go to Full Review

What DeVito lacks in polish, he makes up for in... well, lack of polish: his abrasive, merry-misanthrope character niche is perfect for Philadelphia's comedy of bad manners. Go to Full Review

The depraved laughs in "Sunny" are undeniable, as long as you remember, kids, not to try this at home. Go to Full Review

The beauty of Always Sunny is actually its ugliness. Unlike shows like South Park or Entourage, "Sunny" refuses to allow its characters any room to be anything but pathetic. Go to Full Review

Another one of those cable FX series that is wildly politically incorrect, dark and R-rated, but sometimes funny. The Seinfeld crew was sweet compared to this group of dysfunctional friends and family. Go to Full Review

Natasha R @MsNatasha Feb 21 This season is better than the first! It's inappropriate - wild - random - and hilarious. See more John K @WQCMI Feb 19 The debut of Frank Reynolds saved the series and I think this was a great way to kick off what would be a long running series. Danny DeVito’s dark comedic tone, paired with an unforgettable ensemble cast, makes this series truly memorable. See more matthias s @Thescreenasvor Jul 15 Season 2 of *It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia* levels up—like the Gang found a mirror and decided to break it for fun. With the arrival of Frank Reynolds, chaos takes center stage. Danny DeVito injects new life into the show, pushing the boundaries further and making the dysfunction feel even more deliberate. The writing sharpens, the plots get weirder, and the group’s moral compass spins faster than ever. At 78%, it’s still rough in spots, but the chemistry clicks and the dark comedy finds its rhythm. Season 2 doesn’t just raise the stakes—it fully embraces the absurd. See more Thomas M. @Thomas Jul 1 Absolutely great show!! See more Regal R @RT96555783 07/02/2024 80/100 - Wow, right out of the gate they just throw you into the thick of it. I like how bold the writers are, and I think a lot of the humor is just them picking the most offensive topics and just running with them. I feel like this show can get old because its the same format every episode, but thats also what makes it comfort food. The same characters you know and love, always acting the same, getting into the same shenanigans. I will miss shows like this and the fact that no writers are daring enough to make films like this anymore. See more Kim D @RT07665589 10/29/2023 Love Danny Devito as the dad of the devious twins.
