Old-school detective Jack Taylor is a maverick who lost his job with the Irish police force for assaulting a politician during what should have been a routine traffic stop. That leads him to go into work for himself as a private investigator, reluctantly tackling cases that the police won't look into. Taylor gets help in his investigations from enthusiastic sidekick Cody and a network of contacts, which includes some of his former colleagues on the police force. The crime-drama is based on books written by Ken Bruen.

Episodes 4 and 5 are the best of the series and episode 6 is fantastic as well. Improves upon the first season in all ways possible. See more 12/14/2017 I watch all except 2016 episodes. Really enjoyed all of them. While other crime films were more on CSI details and action bullshit, Jack Taylor is a naturalist and pure. See more Read all reviews
