A few dumb bits with the gavel and the chair take away from the comedy of the show. The situations are funny in themselves and adding to them too much actually detracts from the comedy. In comparison, Matt Walsh is positively terrible. I am a Christian, and Matt Walsh also professes Christianity. He is Catholic. Many of his moral views I share. The problem I have with the show is that people agreed to settle their small suits with Judged by Matt Walsh, presuming that it would be essentially the same as taking it to small claims court. This is how a traditional show does it, and if the people signing up for the show believe that is what they are getting, that is what they should get. Non Christians should not be judged in small claims court for not living a Christian lifestyle. We live according to God's instructions because we love Him and are thankful for what He has done for us. In fact, we know we can't abide by God's laws perfectly without His transformation. This means that a Non-Christian choosing to follow God's rules to earn God's approval is not going to be able to do it. He is still as lost as if he hadn't tried. Rather than checking what the law actually says, Matt Walsh considers their immoral lifestyles and factors that into his "judgment." Thus, if one party were wronged by the other, but that other person lives a more moral lifestyle, they don't get the case decided in their favor. Small claims should be decided according to the traditional small claims court rules. Given that Matt Walsh is disinclined to do that, he is not a good judge. I like the Daily Wire and typically do like their programing, but I can't recommend this particular show. I've talked to other Christians about it and they were inclined to agree with me.
