Toby Earle London Evening Standard 04/15/2019
The opener to the fourth series of Greg Davies's rampant and splendidly unrestrained comedy features a scene where the culinary pinnacle of British cuisine is violated in a manner that will stick with viewers... Go to Full Review
Jack Seale Guardian 04/15/2019
Greg Davies and his collaborators have an infectious love of imaginative profanity and a delight in methodically creating big visual payoffs. Go to Full Review

There's a demented brilliance to Davies's performance as a man exasperated with everything and everyone when it is him who is the useless giant baby. Go to Full Review
David Butcher Radio Times 04/15/2019
Greg Davies's midlife sitcom isn't to everyone's taste -- it's filthy for a start, and vibrates with real oddness -- but for those who love its tales of a giant self-sabotaging pillock, it's like nothing else out there. Go to Full Review

You couldn't make it up, but I am glad Davies's wild imagination does. Go to Full Review

Dave C 07/23/2021 Feels ‘tired'… Not as good as you'd hope for. The whole ‘Emma' saga gets tedious See more 03/22/2021 What the heck happened?! It got so predictable and ridiculously stupid and a total waste of time. See more 12/13/2020 Compared to past seasons, NO4 has more depth and narrative but lacks the skills in character development See more 09/20/2019 I would still recommend this (final?) season, but it was the worst one, really. After finding out he's going to be a father in the finale of the last season, Dan is trying hard to prove that he's more than a total loser. The complete change in attitude of the mother is a big part of what made this season less enjoyable than the others. After a horrible review in "The Telegraph" stating that the show needed to "grow up," it seems that Davies, or Channel 4, decided to agree. There are still funny shenanigans throughout the season, but the show does try to be more serious, which it really shouldn't. Still, it is worth watching. See more Read all reviews
