This emotionally-engaging show is less of a rom-com than it is a slice-of-life K-drama that explores how familial loss greatly impacts who we are today. Go to Full Review

While Melo Movie takes its time, revelling in unhurried details, it is a mature slice-of-life series that isn’t afraid of nuance and going beyond textbook romance. Go to Full Review

Choi Woo-shik and Park Bo-young are quite attractive as they flirt with attraction, and Melo Movie is packed with fun references for any film buffs swooning along with these two. Go to Full Review

Beyond its clean and vibrant style, where Melo Movie differentiates itself is in its portrait of youth. Lee imparts her characters with ambition and desires but also a wariness towards a world that offers uncertain prospects. Go to Full Review

Melo Movie, on Netflix, is simply fantastic -- its storytelling, performance and the depth of its emotions leave you raw by the end. Go to Full Review

Melo Movie, as a whole, never pulls back from the melodramatics that sparked its title, giving plenty of excitement to view onscreen. It proves that it’s okay that life isn’t a movie. Go to Full Review

Robert M @fantastic-adventures Mar 15 Starts out pretty good and I liked the story and main characters up until the point that they kiss. I bailed soon into episode 3. My problem is not necessarily with the 5 year absence but in the total failure to explain it to her. Inexcusable and I can't like a character who has done this. Sure, you have a crisis to deal with so take a few days or weeks but at some point you talk/text/communicate to her what happened - then you ask her to wait or move on without her. You just cannot treat someone else that poorly and ever get a second chance. If she gave him another chance, which I assume will eventually happen or the show would be over, I would lose all respect for her. Have some dignity and don't be a carpet mat for others peoples bad behavior. See more Qrio S @Qriosmoke Dec 16 Melo movie is a beautifully layered work of art!!!!!! See more Ath P @RT77021186 Aug 30 Ahhh😖 how could i get over this heartwarming series, so so good especially if you are an introvert or an ambivert give it a try!!✨ See more Andrew S @RT18421042 Jun 9 The first half was a light enjoyable and fun rom-com. The second half was a huge trauma dump with extensive long monologues and not a molecule of joy. If you enjoy every type of sadness and trauma over and over again, this if for you. The only positive is the acting was good. But not an enjoyable watch and I was praying for it to end by the final episode, See more Uzair H @RT93241032 03/19/2025 I would suggest to not watch it if you are a busy person and want a good series with excellent story. If you have time and you want to pass it somehow, then please read this review before watching it. Will try to keep it simple! I'm kinda disappointed with this show as I had high expectations. First of all, story was quite boring and predictable. Although I like slow burn romantic drama but quite frankly, it was boring. Casting was also not UpTo the mark neither does the acting of choi woo shik. Loved him in our beloved summer but in this whole show, except last episode his face showed no expressions. There was no chemistry between main couple. They just looked like practicing their lines. However, the second couple had more chemistry and sometime overshadowed the main couple. Even in some scenes, second male lead looked more good than our male lead. So, the casting was a huge issue. Even in acting, second couple was excellent. "In my opinion, the stories of the main couple and the second couple should have been swapped, as the second couple's story felt more like that of a melomovie See more Drama K @RT82467024 02/27/2025 Beautiful. A character driven slice of life drama with a solid romance and themes of loneliness and grief. The fun of this series is slowly peeling back the layers on these complicated characters, each of whom is a brilliant jumble of flaws, misconceptions, and good intentions. See more Read all reviews
