What I liked about this series the most is how it captures religion and it's forms depending on how you live your life. That we all have a different view on it, based on our lifestyle, relationships and mental health. And how you being selfish, can lead you to believing you're doing the right thing, and jealousy of connections lead you to ruin peoples lives. The end feels like it was thought through in a hurry, and the question is why did it have to have such a deep ending that dragged on, yes the message was nice but leave the thinking to the viewer too? Never have I felt so much joy and hope for a small isolated village as the inhabitants resurrect their dying community only to see them literally tear each other apart. However, I have a feeling that Mike Flanagan and possibly Jamie Flanagan (whoever writes the unsolicited soliloquies) loves the sound of their thoughts coming out of an actor's mouth.
