Jacob B @RT89309114 03/28/2023 While not without a few weak episodes, most notably the only episode in the show's run where our main protagonist is completely absent, Millennium's second season, while retooled to the point that it it feels like a slightly different show, is some damn good television. Lance Henriksen is terrific as always but this show also has the most memorable episodes, such as a Halloween episode, a Christmas episode, two more episodes penned by fan-favourite X-Files writer Darin Morgan and a few attempts to make a myth arc like its sister show, that builds up to a haunting two-part season finale. I think the S2 showrunners did the right thing making the second season lighter than the first since it helped ease audiences in more to that season finale. All in all, a very good season that has some more levity but still doesn't shy away from being dark and disturbing, most notably with the return of Lucy Butler. That episode legitimately got under my skin. Good thing Darin Morgan showed up for a second breather episode shortly after. See more 02/05/2019 "This is who we are." Glen Morgan and James Wong take the reins of Millennium in Season 2 and steer it in a new direction. After killing a sociopath who abducted his wife, Frank and his wife separate, meanwhile the Millennium Group begins to vet him to move up in the group and learn their true purpose. Kristen Cloke joins the cast as a recurring character and brings a great new dynamic to the show as a fellow Millennium candidate and investigative partner for Frank Black. However, Megan Gallagher, though listed in the main cast, is relegated to more of a guest star as she becomes Frank's estranged wife. Also, the tone of the show changes as the cases are more supernatural and the Millennium Group becomes more of a secret society; which adds a layer of intrigue to the show that was hinted at but wasn't really explored in the first season. Extraordinarily bold and daring, Season 2 of Millennium is incredibly thrilling and full of mystery.
