When most people think of fishing, they think of a relaxing afternoon in a boat on the water with a rod, some bait and family or friends with them. But that's not how fishing is for "mudcatters," people who go hand fishing for giant flathead catfish. This type of fishing isn't very relaxing. The mudcatter gets into the water and waits to be bitten by a fish, at which time he wedges his hand down into the fish's gullet and wrestles it into the boat. Bites from turtles, snakes and beavers are not uncommon and, in fact, are a part of the activity. This series follows some of the best mudcatters in Oklahoma, including fourth-generation mudcatter Scooter Bevins and young gun Teddy Good.
