A group of 16 undiscovered talents is brought to Hollywood and divided into several teams. Every week, the teams produce a short film in an assigned genre -- everything from comedies to thrillers, dramas to romance, sci-fi to horror. With one member selected as the director, and other members helping produce, they have access to the best resources the industry has to offer. The judging panel includes a motion picture executive, a film critic and well-respected guest judges. Viewers choose who moves on and who is "left on the cutting room floor." The prize? An office "on the lot" -- at DreamWorks -- and all the opportunities that affords.
