The housing situation between the Trotter boys has altered; Raquel is now living with Del and a newly separated Rodney is sleeping on the sofa when he isn't drinking too much or hungover.
Raquel wants to and sets about trying to get back into theatre and auditions for a Shakespeare play.
An old friend of Del is putting on a show and Del offers to help out, in exchange for money. However, things begin to go wrong and Del soon discovers that there is a lot of pressure on him to get the event right.
Roy Slater returns, asking forgiveness, but Del uncovers the truth: Roy is Raquel's ex-husband and he wants to blackmail the Trotters.
Uncle Albert returns from his club bruised and battered, and claims that he was beaten by skinheads, but Del and Rodney suspect he injured himself while working out. Buster Merryfield, David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst.
Rodney and Cassie reunite, but their rekindled love is interrupted when Raquel goes into labor.
