"RuPaul's Drag Race" is a reality show in which a group of talented drag queens compete in challenges to impress host RuPaul, the world's most famous drag queen, to win a cash prize along with a crown and the title of America's Next Drag Superstar. Each episode consists of a main challenge, usually some form of performance or fashion design -- sometimes both. The queens then participate in a themed runway show, where one is declared the winner of that week, while two others are announced to be up for elimination. The bottom two must then compete to stay on the show with a lip-sync for their lives.

Barilla T @RT74245407 May 11 Not a bad season, but the riggery was in full effect especially towards the end. It was pretty stale See more Bob H @RT85331195 Apr 20 Season 18 sacrifices judging integrity for randomness. When placements feel arbitrary, the competition stops being compelling. Disappointing for longtime fans. See more Taj M @RT67826069 Apr 19 I've been watching Drag Race since season 5, when I was a college kid coming out of the closet. I was elated to see being gay didn't mean a life of sadness and loneliness, but one of joy and community. But season 18 might be the one to make me finally give up on the show after 13 years. Ever since the move to VH1/MTV, the show has become overproduced. The contestants feel less like drag queens than wannabe TV stars -- searching for a catchphrase or viral moment, or quoting past queens who were more charismatic. The gimmicks are forced and boring. Where the show has overreached in some areas, it's been negligent in others -- i.e., the finale used to be held in a theater, not the regular stage. I've finally accepted I haven't enjoyed the show for a while, years actually. This garbled, underwhelming season was my final push. Sic transit gloria mundi. See more Daniel T. @danieltrantham Apr 4 Too many gimmicks. And unfair eliminations. And law roach is so rude - get him off my tv. See more Jose N @soyjosenieves Mar 28 Esta temporada de RuPaul’s Drag Race me pareció bastante irregular. See more Dre G. @morelifebydre Jan 3 Refreshing season thus far.
