Live from New York for more than four decades, celebrity hosts join an award-winning ensemble cast to perform comedic sketches, satirical news and digital shorts, alongside popular musical acts; capturing the pop-culture zeitgeist, the show's sketches and segments often go viral the next day. Over the years, cast members have included Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Kate McKinnon, Seth Meyers, Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray, Mike Myers, Amy Poehler, Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg, Kristen Wiig, and many more, as well as recurring guests such as Alec Baldwin, Melissa McCarthy and Steve Martin; from executive producer Lorne Michaels, "SNL" is widely considered an American late-night institution and continues to earn critical praise.

John P. @GolfGambino Nov 4 They keep going to the same dry well of lame political jokes. Not funny and just kinda boring. See more Stephen C @bob25009 May 12 LOL, the funniest of 50 seasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 21 episodes can prove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dubbed and subtitled in worldwide studios!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more Mirage M @RT99845734 May 12 Show dropped off to a new time lime, poor band choices, worst writers in SNL history. Just lost the funy factor and became a bad train wreck you have to force your way through to see the celebrity hosts semi save it. Entire writer group and cast needs a reality check or to be fired. It's disrespectful to old SNL. I would rather get a colostomy un medicated that watch this new season. See more Shawn N @shawn70 May 11 Laughs have been far and few between. Weekend Update and Do Not Destroy are by far the strongest segments. Seemingly when there is an amiable guest some of the skits roll along fine, but other weeks barely get by. Overall, a dud of a season with limp writing with very repetitive politcal rhetoric. Many "WTF was that" skits. Emil Wakim, Ashley Padilla and Michael Longfellow have unfortunately had minimal on screen time while Jane Wickline has proven to be the "poor choice" hire of the season. The Bill Burr episode appears to be the agreeable stinker of the lot, but the Shane Gillis monologue will stand as a classic and uncomfortable bomb, not even the band cracked a smile. Musical guests were poor and bottomed out with Arcade Fire. Bringing back some of the old-timers for small cameos has been a pleasant yet futile effort. So, how does it get millions of viewers? I think lack of options in the time slot and there are just that many people hoping to have a good laugh before bedtime. This season has not succeeded at doing that. See more Helena O @RT55498368 Apr 18 OK, it's legendary. It's created superstars of comedy. Great music guests, etc. But the writing has gotten so bland & unpredictable, which is too bad because so many people in the current cast are really talented. Bowen Yang, Chloe Fineman, Sarah Sherman, Ego Nwodim, James Austin Johnson -- every member of the current cast is strong. But the sketches need to be less obvious and not just the same joke over and over until it ends. See more Mar•Garet W @RLM-Fan-Club-76 03/03/2025 Really sad & painful to see a Comedy Legend like Mike(y) Myers crash~&~burn in such spectacular fashion - grew up & was proud of his Canadian-brand of Comedy; which makes the fact that he has recently helped usher SNL from the realm on Not Funny (anymore) ~&~ into the lower realms of NON-MEDY....that much more agonizing to witness.
