For Chris Fischer, going to work doesn't mean sitting at a desk typing on a computer for eight hours. Fischer is a pre-eminent ocean explorer and an elite fisherman who is on a quest to decode the secrets of one of the ocean's deadliest creatures. Fischer leads a team that is conducting the most ambitious shark expedition in history. They must track down sharks, maneuver them onto their boat and tag each one by hand, with a goal of 50 sharks in 40 days, a nearly impossible mission for the team. Fischer wants the information collected to be used to help determine where large sharks gather throughout the year, which could allay swimmers' fears by letting them know when sharks are in local waters.
