Giovanni Ribisi plays the role of Marius, a con man who tries to leave his old life behind by assuming the identity of his cell mate, Pete. While Pete's family doesn't have reason to suspect that he is not their long-lost loved one, they are a colorful group with their own secrets and lies that could make life as dangerous as the world Marius was hoping to escape. Marius must find a way to keep his lies from backfiring as he deals with unexpected situations that come his way. Executive producers include Graham Yost and Bryan Cranston.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Sneaky Pete's sophomore season replicates its predecessor's finesse with narrative sleight of hand and deliciously twisted capers, although Bryan Cranston's gravitas is sorely missed.

It's a lot of fun. Go to Full Review

Sneaky Pete is of a certain style. And one that it does quite well. But without Cranston as the magnetic heavy at the center of the action, the effort it takes to keep up your investment might be more challenging than last season. Go to Full Review

All three of these arcs - as well as a loosely tied conflict between Otto (Peter Gerety) and a young hitman - run throughout Season 2 and effectively create tension through alternatively cute and unnerving short cons within the longer cons. Go to Full Review

The second season of 'Sneaky Pete' is as good as the first. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

In two seasons the series perfectly carries on that mix of sharp dialogue, family drama and shocking violence - an amiable mix of Ocean's 11 with Breaking Bad - through its bail bonds and con artist worlds. Go to Full Review

Yost and company not only crafted a complex central mystery, but they also littered each episode with a bounty of mini conundrums and cons for the characters to solve. Go to Full Review

L. F 1d The story feels a little overly convoluted this time round, but the characters and performances still make it work. On the whole, this series feels lighter without the ominous elements Brian Cranston brought to his bad guy role. It's still clever and holds your interest, but feels more like a comedy crime caper than the first series did. See more Kristian M Jul 30 Hoping for a Season 4, 5, 6 etc.👌🤞 See more Frans B @FransB Jul 27 This just seems to get better and better. Highly anticipated second season surely does not disappoint. Whole cast still excels convincingly in character, still gripping storyline, more intense than before. Fast paced and highly entertaining See more Faiz D May 14 Not as good as the first one but still a lot of fun to watch. See more James M 02/09/2024 This is still better than most dramas pumped out these days. It has a clever script and decent acting. Felt like it was a couple of episodes too long though. Throughout the multiple twists and turns you feel like you are heading towards an improbable denouement. This turned out to be the case. Without giving the plot away the finale requires our heroes predicting the precise reactions of the bad guys to the nearest second to avoid a grisly and painful death. Whilst it is a comedy drama this gives the show an air of improbability.. Another distraction and casting misfire is that in real life there are less than 10 years between Pete and his onscreen Mom. It's clear to see on screen and will prompt many viewers like me to look it up. See more Gareth v @geewah 06/24/2023 While not as strong as the first season it's still a very entertaining series. Sticks to what it knows best and does it well. See more Read all reviews
