The series emanates a sense of urgency without cooking up abnormally dramatic situations. Go to Full Review

Sterling Point is an easy recommendation. It’s funny, charming and knows when to go for the jugular on existential coming-of-age musings. Go to Full Review

Ms. Rubin is terrific and there’s some very clever writing in “Sterling Point,” but a viewer will check out mentally, and early, because the entire mystery would be resolved if one character would simply ask another a very obvious question. Go to Full Review

Sidestepping the tired tropes that often plague the modern teen genre, it anchors itself in a beautifully grounded, emotionally intelligent narrative about kinship and the search for belonging. Go to Full Review

Every heartfelt moment between Annie and Ramona is a reminder of what Park does best, and Sterling Point gives her an expansive platform for that rich emotional storytelling. Go to Full Review

Keely M @RT24467265 2h Refreshing young adult watch. Fantastic queer representation. Complicated and intelligent dialogue and female leads. Love! See more Maura D @Maura370 6h Definitely enjoying it so far. See more S T @SMgolf 8h Starts off with, "I got bagels". Promotings bagels is like promoting cigarettes See more Aline L @alnllaee26 13h I called it early, and I'm not sure that's a complaint. Sterling Point is so lacquered — every frame gorgeous, every character placed with the precision of chess pieces on a board — that you know from the first episode nothing here is accidental and someone is going to be moved. The pleasure isn't in being surprised; it's in watching the hand make the move. The island does half the work. Megan Park shoots this Canadian summer so seductively that by episode four I was pricing flights to Ontario. That's a real achievement — the place functions as a character, not a backdrop. The ensemble is well chosen, with one caveat: Annie and Connor are seventeen, and neither Ella Rubin nor Keen Ruffalo quite reads that young. It's a small friction, but it slightly dulls the specific panic of being a teenager handed something enormous. The finale doesn't end so much as reload. Renew it. It’s filmed so well and is honestly the perfect watch. It’s so rare these days to find a show that is this well done without being cringy. Definitely one I’d recommend!
