Critic Reviews for Changing

I'm liking the fact that every alien with superpowers isn't so sure they want to be a superhero. This makes what Kara and Hank do feel exceptional and important, not to mention the various humans who are putting their lives on the line every day.

Supergirl is always at its strongest when it is showcasing the personal sides of its characters, and this episode was no different. More of the same, please!

The stories of Alex Danvers and Maggie Sawyer provide exactly the kind of refreshingly honest storytelling so many of us have been craving.

CW pulled out all the stops for an action packed, emotional struggle of an episode. I'm talkin bout, these writers pulled source material from John Carpenter.

I wasn't particularly thrilled with this episode, mostly because it felt like it was mistaking a lot of whining and petulant pouting for actual character growth and development.

It's hard not to love all the sisterly bonding moments. Some of Melissa and Chyler's best work comes from these incredibly emotional scenes.

Alex Danvers's arc over these first six episodes of the season has been tremendously humane, with beats that feel sensitive and honest in their execution.
