Hopefully this season Supernatural doesn't just turn into years-old leftovers, because a premiere this exciting from a show this old is nothing short of a miracle.

Supernatural's highly anticipated season finale takes viewers on an overwhelmingly emotional, fast paced and action-packed journey which brings the ninth season to a spectacular close.

It's difficult to be unbiased about the ninth season of a show you have loved for years, but here it goes: Supernatural Season 9 isn't excellent. It's all right. It's not as good as Seasons One to Three, but probably better than Season 8.

An interesting start. Definitely not as apocalyptic as the end of Season 8 would have some believe. There are some flat spots that don't hit the mark they intend, such as the thoughtful ending with brooding Dean.

As far as premieres go, this is one of Supernatural's strongest.

I screamed. I screamed and we were in the middle of some really nasty weather and my shinier half came running because he thought, like, a tree had gone through a window or something.

It took Supernatural a little bit of time getting rolling on [the] fall finale, but by the end it had delivered a crushing blow.

I must be suffering from some form of Stockholm syndrome, because now I'm starting to actually have feelings for a demon?

Should make for a dramatic Winchester slugfest around midseason when the truth comes out.

The season premiere followed through, paving the way for a brand new direction that's looking to be just as interesting as when the boys first set out to find their father way back in the pilot.

This might have been the best season finale in television history. I was hooked the entire way through the series. The perfection and brilliance in the daring direction this season chose to take will hopefully reign true for the next season.

A fantastic show with dynamic plot lines with spins on well known urban legends and spooks... From the first season, the chemistry between the characters & actors has been refreshing and believable; this is truly one of those shows that has the fuel to last for years to come! Great work from the cast & crew!!!

This is a bad season of Supernatural. There's no easier way of really stating so. A fantastic season premiere melds down into trudging along a boring plot-line until around the mid-season finale. It's television standard nowadays, but it doesn't really do much to keep viewers hooked. On top of that, the season's 'threat' is defeated pretty easily, and let's not forget the awful "Bloodlines" backdoor pilot episode. The fact that it was considered for its own series is laughable (though I do comment the episode for at least being something different and refreshing in this slow season). Finally, this season's main threat is Metatron - played by Curtis Armstrong. While I'm a fan of Armstrong's performance, I'm just not a fan of the character.
