Tv Season Info

In the third series of this drama, both Daphne (Katie Leclerc) and Bay (Vanessa Marano) join their high school's new field-hockey team, but they're also busy with other activities: Daphne fulfills her community-service requirement by working at a free clinic, where she meets Campbell (RJ Mitte) and Jorge (David Castaneda), who vie for her affections; and Bay takes an art class at a nearby college, where she meets her new boyfriend, fraternity pledge Tank (Max Adler). Toby (Lucas Grabeel) finds life as a newlywed lonelier than he expected, and his parents (Lea Thompson and D.W. Moffett) also experience some marital problems. Meanwhile, Emmett (Sean Berdy) gets bullied; Regina (Constance Marie) receives a threat not to return to her old neighbourhood; and Angelo (Gilles Marini) makes an effort to learn American Sign Language at Daphne's request.

One of the best things about this show is how it doesn't let it's characters [off] the hook or forget about past mistakes and triumphs.

It's nice to see Switched at Birth push its characters into new territory based on consequences from earlier actions, rather than just create issues out of thin air.

There were definitely a few bright spots, but it's pretty apparent the people we've come to love will spend a bit more time on the bottom before finding their way back toward some sort of happiness.

It is stories like these, which touch on class issues and the way the system is set up to steamroll over the disadvantaged, where Switched At Birth has an outlet to tell stories unlike most anything else on television.
