09/19/2015 Interesting musical competition, in this season with some inovations, a little predictable, but with very good judges mainly Demi Lovato with clever critics. However the competitors weren't the best. See more 01/24/2015 People of all ages, shapes, and sizes from around America audition to be on X Factor. They are passed onto a second round of auditions that eventually gets the contestants down to 16. They are selected strategically to get the groups into four categories: boys, girls, over 25, and groups. Once in these groups, they are assigned one of four coaches, made up of Simon Cowell, Paulina Rubio, Kelly Rowland, and Demi Lovato. Who will come out on top of this singing competition and walk away with a record deal and a million dollars? I had watched X factor before but I don’t think I was ever into it as much as this season. Usually the couples and over 25 groups are not as strong as the boys and girls groups, but this season an over 25 rocker and a Cher and Bono like couple made a run for the title. I also thought the girls were okay this season but the boy category was surprisingly weak. Overall, this was an above average show that got weighted down by multiple production issues (matching the wrong names with contestants and ultimately losing an entire day’s worth of votes at one point) that ultimately led to the show’s demise.
