Audience Reviews for The Eric Andre Show: Season 5
Nov 23, 2020The Eric Andre Show returns as grotesque, erratic, absurdist and immersive as ever, and it stands to reason that the show is even more accurate a microcosm of American society than previously. While Hannibal Buress's exit from the show is a sore spot, as his deadpan delivery made more such a good counterpoint to Eric Andre's more madcap antics, the show manages to keep its integrity without him. This season features some of the series' best candid-camera sketches, which are often relentlessly gross, but also quite subversive. The show isn't too political this year, but it does make plenty of inferences to how bizarre reality has come (namely including an interview with Stormy Daniels), and the show's writers are as effectively crass and witty as Adult Swim gets these days. Eric Andre really has been Adult Swim's most blissfully absurd contributor since Tim and Eric, and the latest season of his show is the bleeding edge still.
Oct 27, 2020The perfect blend of nihilism and celebrities. If you ever just want to give up caring about any of the stressful things going on around you, finding meaningless chaos in the Eric Andre Show is the way to go.
