Critic Reviews for The Wrath of Savitar
Almost every character makes decisions that are meant to move the plot forward, first and foremost, even when those choices don't make much sense.
It's another heartbreaking moment courtesy of strong performances from the cast, especially Grant Gustin.
Enough with the members of Team Flash withholding crucial information from each other to create artificial drama. It's so tired, it's so boring, it's so old.
I'm just here for HR and his wild a** quotables... This dude has me crying.
It is starting to get a little ridiculous how much of the drama on this show is fueled by characters keeping secrets from one another.
Action packed, emotionally raw and offering up major decisions and pitfalls for each character to fall into.
'The Wrath of Savitar' makes a strong case for fear being what "makes us do a lot of things that we shouldn't," as Barry so poignantly puts it.
Boy, how about that ending?
Overall, the episode (and in the end, perhaps the season storyline as a whole) succeeded because of Savitar.
A consistently thrilling entry that moves both plot and character in more ways than the last seven or so episodes, and one that might even belong alongside the series' very best.
While I'm still worried the bottom is going to drop out of this arc, The Wrath of Savitar was a great episode. Maybe the best one of the season so far.
