A shifty used-car salesman and his brassy wife adjust to life in the country after being forced to flee the city to escape the notorious gangsters the Driscoll brothers. Boycie heads to rural Shropshire, where he takes up residence in a rambling farmhouse his wife unenthusiastically calls the "little house on the prairie." Their oafish son Tyler is equally displeased with their change in circumstances, and Boycie begins to wonder if facing the Driscolls might not have been the easier option.
