What to Know

Critics Consensus

Grabbing onto thorny moral questions with its bare hands, The Last of Us' second season is a challenging expansion that retains its predecessor's superb performances and verisimilitude.

The pieces are there, but they’re scattered, unable to form something truly memorable. Go to Full Review

The chemistry between Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal is magnificent... their dynamic has been the heart of the show. Go to Full Review

Often these middle seasons can feel like a weigh station, an impatient stopover until the meat of the work in the final act but The Last of Us gifts the audience with many sublime moments that make it more than worthwhile in the meantime. Go to Full Review

Season two of The Last of Us may run only seven episodes and have a slightly slower pace than its freshman outing, but it remains an excellent step forward for what has been quite an incredible adaptation of the popular video game series. Go to Full Review

It really digs into the nature of one side’s freedom fighters being the other side’s terrorists. The more you stop seeing your enemy as a human with the exact same impulses and motives as you, the less human you become. Go to Full Review

Joseph T @JPTERR 2d Season Two was a massive step down from the first. It seemed that the writers simply made it up as they went along, and scenes intended to convey tension or depth were simply flat and contrived. Not worth the effort. See more Michael J @MJinVA 5d I have watched both seasons of The Last of US. Overall, it is a decent watch. Not an avid fan of zombie movies, but this was done better than some. The character development is good. The reason I gave this a lower review was the gimmick employed at the end - the cliffhanger. Season 1 ended at a possible ending point. Season 2 stopped in the middle of its plot. I removed it from my watchlist and don't plan to watch season 3 which is already in production. The other thing I disliked is that Episode 6 of the 7 was a total flashback that didn't add substantive information that changed anything. If they had used that time for the events in Episode 7, they could have provided an Episode 7 that at least resolved the plot and allowed a new storyline in Season 3. See more Rylee T @RT17211608 6d Not the most perfect adaptation, but perfect for the audience it's made for(aka people who don't play video games are are into post apocalyptic dramas) See more Alonso L @Lalirri May 13 Dont waste your time. Is soooo boring and the "main" character is so meh! See more Edgar S @RT49523906 May 13 Definitivamente una decepción la segunda temporada. See more Jonah H @Delune May 11 The story line and acting was fantastic! See more Read all reviews
