In the future, Kevin auditions for a Broadway play; Toby runs into his ex-wife while on a date with Kate; and William's reported as a loiterer in Randall's predominantly white neighborhood, exposing deep-seated racial tensions.

It surely can't be an accident that an innocent-seeming trip to the pool is used as a framing device for this episode examining the ramifications of a black boy being raised by white parents.
