Ian F. @thismeansguerra Jul 22 I loved it well done and inspiring. See more Kenneth H @RT59182383 Jul 21 Netflix repeated much of what made the first two seasons great, but we noticed some editing tricks that were a bit manipulative when they didn’t need to be. I know it’s challenging to find drama when there was such a dominant champion, but there was more than enough drama to go around. For example, they made it seem like Carapaz barely redeemed his season with a single stage win when in fact he won the polkadot jersey, which wasn’t even acknowledged. That was a miss. Still, the show does a great job of showing how the grand tour is truly a team competition, and no matter how great the individual – see Tadej in 2023 and see Jonas in 2024, – even the most heroic performance will not beat a strong team. That goes a long way in explaining the sport to the uninitiated, and for that alone, Netflix deserves applause. I’m sorry to see if they didn’t renew for next season. See more Rob L @RT65275883 Jul 14 This is the best of the "drive to survive" type of "documentaries" it could have been much better than it is, but far better than all the other shows like this. So, it just sucked, not horribly sucked. The good, it was french, better interviews, more angst. The bad, everything else, over produced, zero context, fake announcing that is just voice over, which is super annoying, you feel like you're being played. Not nearly enough was said about how injured Jonas was and competed at a high level, that was probably the most amazing thing about this tour and Binjaim Germay. One very very good thing is Tadge, he's like a gun fighting, factual, overwhelming, like a gunfighter, or someone on the spectrum. See more Michael V @RT41146758 Jul 13 To preface, I'm not someone who watches/follows the Tour de France or biking in general. But I really LOVE these seasons of Unchained. Well-filmed and directed. Super interesting and informative, I always have a great time watching these. Can't wait for season 4. See more Ridley R @RT33378789 Jul 4 Just as good as the first two. Really disappointed it wasn’t picked up for this years tour See more Alex J @RT24474898 Jul 3 I've seen some quite scathing reviews of series 3 and I don't agree... I found this series really emotional. And it wasn't just the Pogi show, there were multiple episodes featuring stage wins by underdogs, which I absolutely loved. I think the show really gives you insight into the pressure that pro cyclists face, how demanding the TdF actually is and it also gives hope to riders that it IS possible to beat Pogi. Maybe not for GC... but at least a stage or two. Cycling is such a brutal sport and the mental strength of some of these guys is insane - especially when they're coming back after severe injury and not only recovering physically, but having to overcome their fear.
