From gaudy designs to botched renovations, comedian Retta travels across the country to tour properties nominated by their owners as the ugliest home around. The country gets divided into four regions, with four homes from each region selected as finalists based on the following criteria: ugly in appearance, bad function and "surprise." However, the competition doesn't stop there: after crowning the worst of the worst, designer Alison Victoria surprises the homeowners with an incredible $150,000 renovation.

C 01/04/2023 Retta is so fun and hilarious. We love her. They chose a great place as the winner. See more 01/08/2022 I love the concept! Finding these extremely ugly houses and then helping transform one of them from ugly duckling to swan.. brilliant!! My only disappointment really was that they didn't help a family who clearly could have used the financial help to fix their ugly home. 😕 The girl who won had that home purchased for her.. and she's the only one living in the finished home.. not as satisfying as seeing a family, who literally need the help, enjoy the home after it's transformation.
