See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Jun 26 Season two of WWE LFG arrived with a lot of hype, but the marketing felt confusing from the start. They kept referencing “last year” as if the first season had aired much earlier, when in reality, the first season premiered in February 2025 and the second in June 2025. It felt like they were trying to exaggerate the time gap or make the show seem more established than it actually is, which is a strange decision. It immediately set a slightly off tone for viewers paying attention to the timeline. That being said, the second season delivered on intensity. The action was nonstop—contestants fighting, judges clashing, and plenty of dramatic moments that kept the energy high throughout. WWE clearly leaned into the chaos and rivalry, and for the most part, it worked to make the show engaging. The matches were fierce, and the stakes felt higher than ever before. Unfortunately, the competitive integrity suffered this season. There were clear alliances forming, and it became obvious that certain judges were favoring contestants for personal reasons. Booker T and Bubba Ray seemed aligned against the Undertaker family, creating a biased environment that affected decisions. The presence of a husband-and-wife duo on the panel further complicated fairness, and it was evident that some choices were influenced by these personal relationships rather than merit. BJ Ray, in particular, seemed to get the short end of the stick. Despite being one of the most consistent and talented competitors, he didn’t receive the spotlight he deserved and was portrayed more as a problem child than a standout star. Meanwhile, Zena became an obvious target, with some of the judges repeatedly undermining her performance. On a personal note, her habit of grabbing her shoulder every time she’s bumped during a match is distracting—it comes across as overdramatic and takes away from her skill in the ring. As for predictions, I see Anthony Luke and Pa taking the titles this season. Drake and Dani will likely go through WWE Evolve before eventually making their way to NXT, similar to other contestants who needed more development before reaching the main stage. While the season itself had strong moments and plenty of excitement, the nepotism and behind-the-scenes favoritism overshadowed what could have been a fair and purely competitive showcase. Michele may have the most votes, but it’s clear that the panel’s dynamics need reworking to maintain credibility. Removing or reshuffling one of the judges could help, but simply replacing women isn’t the solution—WWE needs a panel that can make impartial decisions for the sake of the competition. Overall, season two of LFG was entertaining and intense, but the obvious favoritism and backstage maneuvering prevent it from being a truly fair display of talent. It’s still worth watching for the matches and drama, but any serious fan will notice the inconsistencies in judgment and the politics that clouded the outcomes. See more Read all reviews
