Buckethead
Born on May 13, 1969 in Pomona, Calif., Brian Patrick Carroll, known professionally as Buckethead, is an American guitarist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Carroll began playing guitar at the age of 12. Stemming from anxiety, Carroll decided to take on the Buckethead persona, wearing a bucket and mask, to help overcome his fears. Carroll's music spans several genres and he has recorded over 400 studio albums. Primarily performing as a solo artist, Carroll has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, including Bill Laswell, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell, Iggy Pop, Travis Dickerson and Skating Polly. From 2000 to 2004, Carroll was a member of Guns N' Roses. During a rare podcast interview on "Coming Alive" in October 2017, Carroll discussed his life, the Buckethead character, his parents' deaths and his health problems. Brian Carroll continues to tour and perform under the stagename Buckethead.
