Elizabeth Hanks
Born on May 17, 1982 in Los Angeles, Calif., Elizabeth Hanks is an author, actor and filmmaker. Instead of acting, Hanks chose writing to be her profession. Although Hanks did not pursue an acting career like her father (Tom Hanks) and other members of her family, she has appeared in "Forrest Gump" (1994), "That Thing You Do!" (1996), "Anchoraged" (2015) and "This World & The Next" (2019). After graduating from Vassar College in 2005, Hanks began working as a writer. Under the pen name E.A. Hanks, she has worked for various publications, including The Awl, Jezebel, The New York Times, The Guardian and Vanity Fair. She's also served as an associate news editor at The Huffington Post and a children's editor for the Los Angeles Review of Books. Elizabeth Hanks' first children's novel, "Piper Peregrine Vs. The Consortium For Better Thinking" is set to release in 2024.
